Stream With Rocks

Rocks and stones of different sizes make up the foreground of this painting. Light bright colours are employed throughout by the painter with the trees in the background beautiully rendered with delicate brush strokes. The scene is set in the countryside with a stream or maybe a pool forming the central part of the painting. There are various rectangular shapes guiding the perspective and the view of the observer with the shapes in the pool holding the eye there a while. Some of the boulders have an almost animal like features. In the distance beyond the rocks and water and in-between the trees there appears to be some steps which lead to a shaft of light or it could be a waterfall.
